More than £14.5 million has been spent locally by EDF Energy so far. This covers local contracts and the pre-planning assessments undertaken by the local authorities which are normally funded by the applicant.

Specifically, local contracts have been placed to supply the following capabilities:

Groundworks – 11
Civil Engineering – 10
Landscaping – 5
Transport – 8
Accommodation – 6
Services – 18
Plant hire – 12

These contracts have been awarded in support of the site investigation and site preparation work packages and to support the local “serviced” requirements for EDF Energy. They do not include work packages yet to go live.
