Playing an integral part in the construction of HPC

Pembrokeshire-based Ledwood Mechanical Engineering Ltd (Ledwood) is playing an integral part in the construction of both the Nuclear Island and the Conventional Island at Hinkley Point C.

Working for Tier 1 contractor Bylor, Ledwood is providing a fabrication, installation and project management service for the embedded pipework in the turbine halls, which form part of the Conventional Island.

Ledwood is also due to start work shortly with MICo/BYES on the Nuclear Island, with the installation of the emergency generator diesel tanks, providing Installation and project management support.

Ledwood operates from substantial engineering & manufacturing facilities in Pembroke Dock, Wales, with fabrication workshops and paint facilities. The company designs, procures, fabricates, protective coats, constructs, installs, maintains and project manages the delivery of complex plant internationally.
