Loretta has been a key part of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) journey since 2019, initially supporting the Somerset Chamber of Commerce on the Hinkley Supply Chain Team. In 2024, her role transitioned to report directly to EDF Nuclear New Build, where she continues to make a significant impact.

With a master’s in aerospace engineering, Loretta brings a wealth of experience from the UK defence and nuclear sectors. Her career has spanned technical project management, procurement, and business development across both large corporations and smaller enterprises.

Today, Loretta serves as the Local Supply Chain Engagement Manager, helping to connect regional businesses with opportunities on the HPC project.  She also plays a vital role in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across the site, delivering management training to HPC supervisors through the National College for Nuclear.

Beyond her day-to-day role, Loretta is a dedicated board member of Women in Nuclear UK, an organisation she has supported since its inception in 2014.

Originally from Plymouth, Loretta studied in Manchester before returning to the Westcountry. She now lives near Cheddar, Somerset with her young family, where she enjoys spending time outdoors especially by the sea.

Ollie joined the Somerset Chamber of Commerce team in 2022 as a Data Analyst, playing a key role in supporting the Hinkley Supply Chain project.

Before joining the Chamber, Ollie worked at Toolstation as a Supply Chain Planner. Currently undertaking a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Data Analysis, Ollie continues to build his expertise while contributing to the Chamber’s ongoing support of regional businesses.

In his current role, Ollie manages supplier registration and database systems, ensuring information accuracy and supporting the Engagement Lead in connecting local companies with opportunities across the Hinkley Point C project.

Originally from Somerset, where he still lives today, Ollie enjoys an active life outside of work – from keeping fit and exploring the outdoors with his dogs to following QPR and unwinding with video games. He’s also a regular attendee at Glastonbury festival!

I joined Somerset Chamber in February 2022 as a Data Analyst for the Hinkley Supply Chain. Before this I was working at Toolstation as a Supply Chain Planner.
My role involves working on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) regional database, making sure it has the most up-to-date information, so we can provide the project’s Tier 1 contractors with the details of regional suppliers who can fulfil contracts.
I really enjoy being involved in the HPC project, there is a lot of responsibility but that makes it a very rewarding role. It is amazing to see local businesses thrive due to the HPC project and I’m excited to learn more about it, getting more and more involved as I progress.
I think my colleagues would describe me as friendly, calm minded and intuitive.
Outside of work I’m a big fan of F1, the UFC and either playing or watching football. I spend most of my free time making excuses to not go to the gym, but I have keen interest to get involved in other physical activities such as hiking as I’d like to do the Three Peaks Challenge!
